As from 29 June, all new passports issued in Finland will include fingerprints. Fingerprints will be taken of persons applying for a regular passport, Åland’s passport, temporary passport, diplomatic or service passport, national seafarer’s card, alien’s passport or refugee travel document. Children under the age of 12 will not be fingerprinted.
